Membership is our most important asset. With the power of our strong membership, we advocate for educators, public schools, and students. We take action politically and professionally in support of public education in our community.

Our members enjoy a wide array of benefits. From housing information to representation in disciplinary actions, FCTA members can call on the resources of the National Education Association, the Maryland State Teachers Association, and the full-time staff assigned locally in Frederick for assistance when they need it. Membership is unified, meaning that we belong to the NEA, MSTA, and FCTA simultaneously. Benefits flow from each of these three levels of the Association.

Dues are prorated according to your employment and can be taken as a payroll deduction:

Dues for the 2007-2008 School Year:

Full Time:    FCTA = $121.50, MSTA = $269.00, NEA = $153.00
                                              Total = $543.50

Part Time:   FCTA = $60.75, MSTA = $161.40, NEA = $81.50
(.5 or less)                             Total = $303.65
